Justin Stone Essential. It's nearly a miracle this anthology exists alongside the masterpiece These Are Not Fall Colors. I only wish there were 10 or 100 more of these albums, but that's what makes Lync ring -- there is no other. Brilliant band, every song good & weird. Hard & warm. Hoping for a vinyl reissue someday!

k1d great compilation of stuff that didn't appear on Fall Colors, this is truly one of the early greats to come out of Olympia and the influence it has had is palpable. Favorite track: two feet in front.

CX This is why I love Bandcamp. "These are not fall colors" was on regular rotation back in '94-'95, but I missed this compilation of great tracks. And now here they are! So much feel on these tracks, and I love the chord-filled bass playing that really distinguishes the Lync sound.

dunes (omeh) Still need to listen to this in its entirety but the fact that both this and These Are Not Fall Colors are in support of charity was something that made me want to support it.

Lync Olympia, Washington

Lync was a 90s post-hardcore band from Olympia, WA
Formed in 1992, Lync was Sam Jayne, James Bertram and Dave Schneider. Lync's distinctive sound of distortion, cryptic lyrics and irregular tuning created a chaotic, visceral sound which drew comparisons to Fugazi, The Fall, and Drive Like Jehu.
